Masterfully planned by the Chairman Romeo Jalosjos, executed by contractors Runnel Polinar and Charesse Polinar and polished by General Manager Svetlana De Leon, bits of The Spa’s cutting edge architecture and design fell into place. And oh, look how The Spa at the Villa is beautifully landscaped (thanks to Mark Omilig!).
Located in the privacy of a secluded cove on Taguilon highland, The Spa at the Villa draws its energy and vitality from its natural surroundings. You’ll instantly notice how sophisticated the interior – rustic ornamented walls, pebble laden pathway, and properly illuminated spa space. The Spa at the Villa features 2 massage rooms, 1 facial and gluta drip room, 1 Sauna Room, 1 Private Hot and Cold Jacuzzi and 2 VIP Treatment Rooms. The four cornerstones of this health sanctuary promises a rejuvenating sensory journey.
Massage Room
This is a general massage area. It caters to walk-in guests and for those interested for a facial and gluta treatment. It resembles a classic spa experience wherein you’ll be confined in a movable wall (using elegant drapes), yet maintaining privacy at its best.
VIP Treatment Room
This exclusive treatment room is set in a prime location, overlooking the panoramic view of the beautiful cove of Spa Village where The Spa at the Villa is housed. It has two big comfortable beds designed to cater services for couples. And I call it dual royal bliss! =)
Whenever you’re ready, you will normally begin with the classic foot wash. For 15 minutes, your feet will be soaked in a warm tub with relaxing hot stones, that will help ease tense muscles. Then the signature foot scrub composed of salt pepper and coffee bean extracts will be applied to your feet. It was so refreshing! I commend the spa staff’s finesse in ensuring that your wellness and indulgent relaxation needs are catered for.
Dry Sauna
After foot scrub, you’ll then proceed to its adjacent room – the dry sauna. What I love about this room (and you will too) is the see-through window (or wall). Playing with my imagination, it’s like a portal to another dimension of the world – a dreamland.
Spoil yourself with the breathtaking views of the lush mountainscape while being pampered inside a prime dry-heat-inducing sauna. Come on, indulge for 30 minutes ‘coz you deserve it!
In just a few minutes of comfortably sitting on the wooden bench, I can already feel the effect of the dry heat. Benefits of a dry sauna include speeding up your metabolism, boosting of blood circulation and removal of toxins from the body thru sweating.
And that Japanese Kimono for OOTD – just splendid! Take as much selfies as you want ‘coz the sauna room is so instagrammable!
Hot and Cold Jacuzzi
My jacuzzi experience began with a selfie. LOL! And I mean, who wouldn’t? This indoor jacuzzi is strategically built high on a cliffside overlooking the lush scenery of Dapitan’s rugged mountain ranges, and the perfect vantage point to watch the jetboats on the beach below.
Bask in the warmth of the 3-meter indoor artificial hot spring for an hour. With its bubble jet effect, I say it’s like you’re being cooked under a boiling water and a fun experience like no other. A unique feature of the Spa’s jacuzzi are the one-way tempered glass walls. You don’t have to worry about your privacy as outsiders cannot clearly see you. With this, it’s best for a private spa party or even skinny dipping alone.
While enjoying the invigorating pool and the magnificent view, indulge in a complimentary selection of The Spa’s VIP refreshments such as wine, ice cream and popcorn. And yes, this jacuzzi is likewise simply bracing even when turned cold!
After all those hydotheraphy sessions, you’ll have to take a shower and dry off before starting your body massage of choice. Now look at that spa section — equally pleasing!
You will then be escorted to your tranquil spa treatment room where you will indulge in a restoring choice of various relaxation massages. Signature services include the luxurious and unique “Oriental Massage, Relaxing Swedish Massage, Pinoy Hilot Whole Body Massage with or without Banana Leaf Scanning” to enrich the mind, body and soul experiences.
I personally tried Dakak Signature Pinoy Hilot Whole Body Massage with Banana Leaf Scanning. Traditional, yet proven relief of minor discomforts of the veins and muscles, banana leaf scanning uses signature oil infused with different herbs. The soft and warm touch of each banana leaf was very therapeutic I must say. It’s totally one for the books!
After an hour and a half, I knew then my body was boosted and my soul recharged. And oh, don’t miss in treating yourself with a special hot tea (personally brewed by the Spa Manager himself) with honey and organic cookies to be served post-massage.
