Valentin Farm Resort: A Tropical Mountain Hideaway in Consolacion, Cebu
It’s been more than five years since I’ve extended my residence in barangay Polog of Consolacion but the nearby Valentine Farm Resort has pretty much been off my radar. Although I’ve always passed by its entrance whenever my family and I go to church or go on a road trip, I couldn’t really find a perfect time to tick it off my bucket list. Thinking it would be a shame not to explore it first-hand despite its existence just right in our neighborhood, we finally planned for a day-use visit in Valentine Farm Resort.
Operational since 2017, Valentin Farm Resort has become bigger, better and more! The best version of Valentin Farm Resort is now ready to welcome you all, folks.
Valentin Farm Resort is a sprawling resort nestled in a lush mountainside valley of Consolacion, with three swimming pools adorned with exuberant vegetation and immaculately manicured grounds. This nature-filled resort is perfect for families and groups looking for a tropical mountain hideaway. I even witnessed a live proposal at Valentin during my first visit and I can totally claim that love was truly in the air.
Valentin Farm Resort has been known for its private pool and rooms exclusive for a group of people. I even included its dedicated infinity pool in my listicle entitled 25 Exquisite Infinity Pools in Cebu five years ago and this time, a much bigger infinity pool can now be enjoyed by the public. Yes, you’ve read that right. You don’t need a reservation in order for you to enter the property as the resort is now open to the public with its wide array of offerings.
Here’s what’s in store for you at Valentin Farm Resort.
Ashley’s Paradise (Infinity Pool 2)
Let’s start with the new one. The second infinity pool of Valentin Resort is in Ashley’s Paradise area. Since the pandemic, the owner started to develop the area and added two more pool for you to enjoy. With the huge size of the infinity pool (estimated half of the Olympics pool), you’ll gonna love it for sure.
Valentin’s second infinity pool is strategically positioned on a gorgeous greenery backdrop, giving an impression that the borders between artificial and natural creations, either vanishes or rather extended. For some, it’s romantic. Fronting a stunning view of the panoramic mountainscape, its zero edge pool is to die for.
Let your holiday fun start here. Float like there’s no tomorrow or just enjoy the cool flow of the water in depths of 4, 5 or 6 feet, one can surely make memorable experience in this gigantic pool. For added information, the infinity edge pool of Valentin Farm Resort uses a catchment and recirculation system that filters out unwanted particles and clean water is pumped back to the pool.
Gazebo 2
The second gazeebo is where you can enjoy your special occasion with a bigger area. You may rent one room or both for Php 1,000 each (Cottage B rate), depending on the number of persons in your group. Both rooms have sturdy furniture, high ceiling and wider space to allow for more movement.
The interior is very chic. You can do walling inside with its instagramable graffiti. The left one has a golden tree proudly standing on the center surrounded by various types of birds while the right one has a big tree filled with purple flowers on the corner of a stunning field.
Comfort Room
Well, this isn’t the dreamiest location ever. Or is it? Look at that stunning visuals. The material. The flavor. The artwork. Just WOW! Valentin’s CR is very pleasing to the eyes. It could be your favorite backdrop for your next selfie.
Cafe Valentin
Cafe Valentin is also a new addition to the Valentin Farm Resort. From afar, it is like a treehouse with three storeys.
Get you caffeine fix in this rustic coffee shop slash restaurant. You can order your favorite hot tea or coffee like espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte or even cold beverages like frapuccino, fruit shakes and sodas.
Unleash the gourmand in you and dine at Cafe Valentin’s world-class restaurant. An exceptional gastronomic experience awaits you as breakfast, main course and desserts are served. You can have a pasta, sandwiches, pastries and even kakanin (sticky rice with mango and sikwate or hot chocolate)
There is a function room at the lower level of Cafe Valentin for private meetings. You may also visit the rooftop of Cafe Valentin for a 360-degrees view of Ashley’s Paradise, Benedict’s Pool or the lush mountainscape. It has divisions of various seating arrangements where you can chill and enjoy the fresh air.
Benedict’s Pool (Infinity Pool 1)
This is the infinity edge pool that Valentin Farm Resort is known for. This is exclusive for those who’d like to rent the whole area with surrounding family or bunker rooms for overnight stays. With its beautifully-ornamented garden and exquisite infinity pool, the calm days at Benedict’s Pool drift past like a dream.
This mountainfront beauty guarantees a front-row seat to Consolacion’s rugged yet dreamy mountain ranges. You can own the whole place for a day or two for Php 6,000 (day-use) with minimum 10 pax. Splash your way into the Benedict’s Pool while utilizing your floaties and inflatables.
Accommodation (Rooms 1, 2 and 3)
If you’re planning to book an overnight stay at Valentin, you have the option to choose from Air-conditioned rooms such as a standard room or a family room. There are also non-AC rooms like an army bunker room or rest house with fees noted below. You can also make use of its other amenities like covered grilling area, furnished kitchen and billiard table.
Gazebo 1
The first gazeebo is right beside the first infinity pool. You can sing your heart out with its unlimited HD videoke while sipping a wine with your companions.
Alfonzo’s View Deck
Alfonzo’s View Deck is just above the Gazeebo 2 and CR in Ashley’s Paradise. There are a lot of tables and chairs in the area. Needless to say, it’s also perfect venue for family gatherings and special occasion with friends and loved ones.
If you are availing the day-use package, you may lounge here and enjoy a cup of coffee. You can even get a better view of the infinity pool and the surrounding mountain views while at this view point.
Cottages
Day use guests are entitled to one exclusive cottage for your group if you availed of the Cottage A package. You can choose from small to large table sets along the patio and veranda. In each cottage, there is one set of table and six chairs and a standing coat rack.
You can even bring your food or beverages ordered from Cafe Valentin in your cottage. Just throw your trash properly. There is a dedicated trash bin in very cottage.
Kiddie Pool (Pool 3)
There’s no denying it, kids will surely love the kiddie pool. They can splash their way into the shallow basin and enjoy the cool waters.
You can also be rewarded with beautiful man-made waterfalls and garden views. There is a pathway going to the top-most area of the spectacle where you can take unlimited photo opportunities.
Children’s Playhouse
There’s a children playground at the corner of Valentin’s third pool. Your kids will surely love it here. There’s a seesaw, swing, mini car / scooter for babies.
Floral Veranda
Experience springtime all-year round in Valentin’s floral veranda wherein various flowering trees and shrubs bloom spectacularly in every season. Spend your day exploring the flower garden in Ashley’s Paradise or anywhere in the plantation and transform into a biophiliac for a day or two. Wherever you go, you’ll be greeted by vivid and lovely flowers in shades of red, yellow, white, pink, orange and violet.
Stage
You can utilize the stage as a venue for your special performances, programs and other purposes. You can also see a Mama Mary grotto beside it where you can pray silently with all your heart.

Valentin Farm Resort is situated in Sitio Taya, Barangay Polog, Consolacion. It is located 3.9km away or 13 minutes car ride from Flying V, Pit-os, Cebu City via Cabangahan Road. You may use waze going to the location.
