Concentrix Turns One, Celebrates Family Day thru Funatix 2019
If there’s one thing associated with Sunday, the first day of the week, it would be Family Day. Family Day is an opportune time to relax and spend quality time with family members and do things together. As working life can sometimes be stressful, companies make it a point to create and maintain positive employee engagement even beyond the four corners of the workplace. Let’s take a cue from Concentrix, Cebu’s largest BPO employer!
Concentrix values its best talents by seeking the holistic development of its employees. In line with that, Concentrix Cebu celebrates the importance of employee morale, their relationship with families and the value of having a work-life balance. As Concentrix turns one today, it completely redefined Family Day as a BIG gathering of extraordinary fun, family-centric activities and staff oriented competition thru Funatix 2019.
Funatix (noun), a portmanteau of the phrase “Fun at Concentrix”. It is also loosely derived from the first Culture Statements of Concentrix, to wit: “We are Fanatical about our Clients and Staff“.
Concentrix big celebration thru “Funatix” is centered into a day of fun-filled family bonding in three different worlds full of thrills, competition and surprises.
Leg 1 – Funatix: World of Adventure at Anjo World Theme Park
Well, what better way to achieve Sunday Squad Goals than by having a fun-filled family bonding in a world full of surprises.
Concentrix employees and their families are really looking forward to have the best day of their lives at Anjo World Theme Park, the so-called FUNtastic playground in Cebu.
RIDE-ALL-YOU-CAN awaits families at World of Adventure. There are at least ten (10) rides and attractions in Anjo World that each family member can choose from.
Anjo World’s newest attraction is called FUNtastic Arena. At first I thought it was just installed just for the Funatix celebration. Then I was thrilled to know afterwards that it’s really part of Anjo World’s crowd-drawer mid-way games. Just purchase tokens to play, choose from 5 mid-way games and win awesome prizes instantly!
London Taxi is Anjo World’s version of a bump car. I can still vividly recall how my family enjoyed this ride as we get to drive our own taxi and indiscriminately bump at each other in one big European street. Funatix 2019 experience is an exact replication of our fun experience.

Leg 2 – Funatix: Funtastica at SM Seaside Cebu City
The celebration continued with fun games, cool activities and cosplay competition at Funtastica, the second stop of Funatix situated at SM Seaside.
Funtastica is like a modern circus with colorful displays and ornaments. It occupies the ground floor of Mountain Wing Atrium (area between Red Ribbon and Osaka Takoyaki).
Attractions and activities at Funtastica includes Children’s Musical, Paint Workshop, Literary Fest, CNX Family Got Talent, partnered establishments and food stalls.
There is a contemporary playground where children can enjoy. Official partners include Story Land, Amika, World of Fun, Kidzoona, TUF, Travel Scoop and more.
Parents can also teach their kids how to draw, paint and unleash their creativity in the art and crafts station.
Aside from the bubble show and magic show, the highlight of the event is the cosplay competition wherein contestants showed off their best costumes. Adults and kids participated in such friendly competition where cheers from the crowd can be loudly heard as each cosplayer takes centerstage.
Leg 3 – Funatix: Merryland at St. James Amusement Park Lot
#CNXFamilyDay2019 definitely ended with a bang at Merryland.
Families really enjoyed a plethora of exciting spectacles in a carnival-theme amusement playground. Merryland is a colorful and elaborative fun concept brought to life in a vacant lot along Ouano Avenue, NRA, Mandaue that used to be the location of St. James Amusement Park.
People are lining up with three major rides – the traditional Ferris (Lantern) Wheel, pendulum swing ride called Viking and of course the Kids “Octopus” Ride. Others are also busy taking some selfies with some gigantic stilt walkers.
Aside from clowns and usual circus characters, guess who are also in Merryland to celebrate with the Concentrix Family – The Avengers and Disney Prince and Princesses!
Kids also have a special place at Merryland – inflatable Rock Bottom-themed deep sea underworld! Also, exciting games and parade of characters happened during the event.
While the Family Getaway ended at 4PM where rides are already closed, the fun vibes continued throughout the day. The second part of Funatix is a concert where inter-site competitions are anticipated and hot music from local artists and Manila-based bands and DJs made the crowd crazy.
I couldn’t stress enough the gladness I felt in partaking in this momentous event just like a real family member! Thank you Concentrix Cebu for having me around in your BIG Funatix 2019 celebration.
