bai Hotel Cebu: Perfect Host For All Occasions (Birthday Staycation Edition)

Living for 15 years in Cebu far away from my Mindanao-based family has taught me one valuable lesson in life – independence. Heading to the altar of adulthood, I’ve learned that in order for you to grow personally, you have to experience surviving a new environment, paying your bills and standing on your own feet. However, I can’t discount the fact that there’s not a day that goes by where I don’t, at some point, miss being with them.

To address this ordeal, I asked a little favor from my parents and siblings to visit me in Cebu for my birthday. I couldn’t ask for a better timing, most especially this year when I’ve experienced twists and turns in my life, and therefore, to be with my family is my only wish. And thank God, He always grants it – with so much love.

In this special edition article, I will be sharing a visual story about my experience at bai Hotel Cebu, the perfect host for my birthday staycation.

Named after the cebuano term for “friend”, experience local flair of a global caliber at bai Hotel Cebu. An award-winning host in the South, bai Hotel Cebu is a contemporary retreat and culinary haven located at the heart of the city offering state-of-the-art amenities and boasting a panoramic view of the harbor’s skyline. bai Hotel Cebu is very close to my heart. From being the venue for company training and Christmas Party to Best Cebu Blogs Awards Night, from spending quality time with my workmates to chillin’ out with my co-CBS bloggers, from attending GM’s Cocktail with bai Hotel’s valued partners to celebrating birthday staycation with family, no doubt that bai Hotel Cebu is the perfect host for all occasions.

It was past 4 o’clock in the afternoon when both my familes in Dipolog and Consolacion checked in at bai Hotel Cebu. We booked ahead three separate premier rooms and everything went smoothly at the reception area. When we already have our key cards, we hurriedly went up to our respective rooms located on the same floor.

Upon entering my room, I was really surprised to see what welcomed me. A greeting card that says “Happy Birthday To You” and a beautifully designed cake made out of towels topped with matching colorful balloons. I felt giddy with the birthday surprise. bai Hotel Cebu’s Housekeeping Team got me there! I knew then that it’s gonna be an awesome birthday staycation.

And oh, the birthday surprise didn’t end there. As I laid down my things and looked for the remote control, I noticed something on the table. It was a plate covered with a slightly transparent acrylic food cover. Curious, I opened it without warning and there’s another birthday gifts from bai Hotel Cebu – squared-cut cheesecake, fresh mango (my favorite), three roses and a lootbag full of bai Hotel merchandise including a notebook, tumbler, USB and a lot more. I’ve never felt more loved, thank you bai Hotel Cebu!

What I love about our chosen premier room is that it provides a panoramic view of the city and an upgraded living space furnished with additional bath amenities such as a complete toiletry set, face towels, and bathrobes. It also has a functional writing desk, a mini refrigerator, a 40-inch state-of-the-art Interactive Protocol TV (IPTV) with a wide selection of satellite channels, and complimentary high-speed WIFI access. I can totally claim that our room is just perfect because as discerning guests, we deserve a delightful stay regardless of the occasion.

As soon as the night fell, we decided to visit first the famous Twilight Roofdeck Lounge + Bar. Located at the top-most floor of bai Hotel (23rd floor), my families and I lounged in the modern outdoor terrace while overlooking the 360-degrees magnificent view of the metro’s bright night lights. Both families were catching up over Twilight’s signature cocktail concoctions and live music. It’s one memorable alfresco night to remember.

Before we capped the night off, we took time in taking group photo sessions in our respective premier room. We effectively utilized the different room configurations – one with a king size bed and the other twin beds – offering two dissimilar yet equally stunning views – city and harbor.

On our second day at bai Hotel Cebu, we looked forward to having best time of our lives as we head to the all day dining buffet restaurant – Cafe bai! See review here -> Cafe bai: Emerging Culinary Destination in the South

And of course, our stay at bai Hotel Cebu would be incomplete if we don’t get to enjoy the view, the food and the infinity lap swimming pool at the “Pool Bar”. Showing off some cool outdoor vibes at the 21st floor of bai Hotel, my families really find it as the perfect spot for a refreshing swim after a great gastronomic adventure. And did I mention it has a separate pool for kids too? If it weren’t for the check-out time, they sure didn’t seem to mind getting out from the pool. LOL!

Few minutes before we checked-out, we made use of bai Hotel’s first-rate amenities and maximize our photo shoots with its cool shapes, patterns and colors. With the modern and stylish design of bai Hotel Cebu’s interiors, every angle is instagram-worthy!

Overall, my fam bam and I really had fun celebrating my birthday over a weekend bai-cation at bai Hotel Cebu. I might be alone in Cebu, but I never felt lonely especially when we are creating special moments together as one big happy family.

So, if you’re looking for a perfect host for your upcoming celebration of whatever occasion, I totally recommend bai Hotel Cebu. Where the five-star service is fuss-free, expect all the trappings of an prime business hotel minus the conventional theatrics of one. Read more about bai Hotel Cebu!
