Café bai: Emerging Culinary Destination in the South

Food plays a huge part of the Filipino culture, may it be just eating at home, celebrating achievements in the workplace or going on a local food trip. Everyone has their preference and food cravings vary most of the time but when it comes to quality food choices in the country, Cebu’s culinary landscape tops the list. Rightfully so, Cebu’s iconic dishes earned international fandom after being featured by Netflix’ show “Street Food Asia”.

With a wide variety of restaurants and food shops in Cebu offering a myriad of local and global cuisines, there’s one culinary destination that has it all – Café bai.

A vibrant breakthrough to Cebu’s food scene, say hello to Café bai! Located at the second floor of bai Hotel Cebu, get ready to hear some warm invitation like #LetsEatbai! or #KaonTabai! from our welcoming friends in Cafe bai team!

When you’re staying at bai Hotel Cebu, it goes without saying that your staycation would not be complete without indulging in an all-day buffet restaurant. But whether you’re a hotel guest or simply a ‘walk-in’ customer, Café bai certainly has something special for you. 😃👌

Upon entering the biggest buffet restaurant in Cebu, you’ll be duly escorted to your table but let me warn you — the delish aroma of mouth-watering food may stun you occasionally!

Boasting a modern chic ambiance, Café bai is definitely a fun place to satisfy your appetite from morning until evening.

FOODGASM ALERT!

One of the things I love about Café bai is the fact that it has live cooking stations featuring cuisines of the East and West. You can request to have your favorite food cooked in whatever method you like by Cafe bai’s in-house chefs and culinary heroes.

Since it’s the first time of my fam bam to ever dine at Café bai, they’re all in for a treat as they’re going to have the best time of their lives. My mom Magdalena, Tita Marilyn and Zhei first went to the Filipino dishes station, my brother grabbed some pastries, and both my dad Miguel Sr. and Tito Alan tried all meat first to satisfy their cravings!

And there’s the Egg Station – my fave dish for breakfast! You can have your egg cooked the way you want it – sunny side up, scrambled, boiled, or omelette with lots of ingredients to choose from.

Konnichiwa! Annhyeong Haseyo!!! Café bai have menus for Japanese and Korean dishes too! Feel free to taste the authentic culinary pride of some of the top Asian countries.

And if you’re looking for something to quench your thirst, a wide selection of fresh fruit juices, chocolate and coffee are lined up just for you.

Don’t leave the biggest buffet restaurant without trying the toothsome desserts and local delicacies. I tell you, Café bai’s Bibingka (baked rice cake) and Puto Bongbong (steamed purple rice cake) are to die for!

From breakfast to dinner, from signature eats to everyday Pinoy favorites, Café bai is definitely a place where people can come in, sit down and connect with one another over great food.

To sum it up, my family in Cebu and Dipolog had a great gastronomic journey at Café bai! Everyone loves the food, the chic ambiance, the genuine service of the staff and the overall gourmet experience. In fact, we are planning to go back next week for another food adventure at Café bai, the emerging culinary destination in the South! =)

Aside from Café bai, guest can also treat oneself in an exquisite selection of premium restaurants and bars in bai Hotel Cebu that are likewise fast becoming the newest food destinations in Cebu like UME Japanese Cuisine, Marble + Grain Steakhouse, Lobby & Lounge, Twilight Roofdeck & Bar, and many more.
