AyalaMalls Central Bloc: Hip and Happening Bloc in Cebu

Media professionals from both print and digital platforms gathered earlier to have a first look of the interiors of AyalaMalls Central Bloc, a hip and happening bloc in the Queen City of the South. The media preview of the newest Ayala Mall in Cebu was held two days before it opens its door to the public on December 6, 2019.

AyalaMalls Central Bloc is the latest development of Central Block Developers Inc. (a subsidiary of Ayala Land Inc.) which has at least 45,000 square meters of retail gross leasable area. It is a prime lifestyle mall envisioned to be a refreshing and vibrant hang-out destination within Central Bloc, at the heart of the bustling 27-hectare Cebu I.T. Park. It will help make Cebu IT Park the hub of convergence for young professionals and millennial market segment.

If you’re a huge fan of Ayala Center Cebu, then there are more reasons to love its twin sister ~ AyalaMalls Central Bloc. The 5-level regional mall is Ayala’s second mall in Cebu, offering over 500 retail zones for dining, shopping, wellness, and entertainment. The newest mall in town also features four (4) cinemas, a chapel and a startup business incubator called “Trading Bloc”.

Ground Floor

The ground floor of AyalaMalls Central Bloc is dubbed as Practical Cosmopolitan.

This floor-wide zone offers comfy yet stylish and within reach fashion finds, hip and street culture with a pop of tech lifestyle. You can see a couple of pre-installed standees with QR codes around the area for mall-goer’s guidance on what the floor is all about.

The first retail store that will greet you upon entering the Inez Villa Street entrance (in front of Skyrise 1 & 2) is Regatta. And yes, this is one of my favorite clothing brands so this deserves a spot in my blog. =)

Head to the center of the mall leading to the refreshing Garden Row. Garden row is an open space with landscaping for an alfresco dining providing an urban respite in the midst of busy work days and nights.

Metro Supermarket can also be found in the ground floor. Yes, Cebu IT Park employees will most probably rejoice knowing there’s a supermarket that’s near to their respective offices. And oh, watch out for Starbucks Reserve Roastery in this area very soon.

Second Floor

Fashion and Passion, that’s the concept of level two. This floor offers sustainable options for youth’s active lifestyle with the latest trends in athleisure, more fashion options and specialty shops.

In here, you’ll find Delos Reyes Optical, Elated, Corals, Surplus, Alberto, Converse and a lot more!

What captured my attention during the level 2 tour was Trading Bloc. I thought it’s a trade hall wherein local products are exhibited. But it is actually a spot for online trendy brands and budding startups.

In trading bloc, online sellers will have a chance to sell their products offline for more personal touch.

From Level 1 to 3, the dining options that the following: Shabu-shabu, Dinghow Dimsum House, Wingers Unlimited Wings, Okinawa Heat, Samgyupsalamat, Giardino Gelato, Banh Mi Kitchen, Treat Street Cafe, among others.

Third Floor

The third floor of AyalaMalls Central Bloc is centered on Basic Essentials.

The basics you need for cosmopolitan living, all right here at the third floor. Set your eyes on Wonder Phot Shop, Hannah’s and a lot more!

You can also find Activity Center in this floor. Shows and live performances from various events will be held in this area.

Third floor is designed to enable hobbies and cultivate interest of mall-goers. Just like this DJI Store, it could be the single reason why I’d visit third floor more often.

Chapel of St. John Paul II is also housed at the corner of level 3 for your solemn God-time moments. Mass schedules: Every First Friday and Every Saturday – 7 PM; Every Sunday 11 AM and 7 PM.

Fourth Floor

Level four of the hip mall is called Connect and Converge. Stay up to date with the trends in the digital world with an area dedicated to IT, electronic gadgets and accessories.

This unique #Bobasketball will give you an idea to “eat and play” in this zone as food choices and timezone can be found here.

Personally, I love the ambiance of the Food Choices in AyalaMalls Central Bloc. Its interior design is masterfully plan like no other.

This cool backdrop could be where your next walling session venue… while fueling your energy with mouthwatering cuisines on-the-go.

Wide selection of refreshing dining concessionaires are available for foodies to enjoy such as Quickly, Ayer’s, Topokkiman, Kyousha Ramen, Butchero and more!

And there’s Timezone. Who doesn’t love to play and have fun in AyalaMalls’ gamers hub? It’s high time to unleash the kid in you.

Bowling, Billiards and Sound Stage are some of the newest entertainment activities in Timezone at AyalaMalls Central Bloc.

As much as it is for fun activities, this spot is also instagrammable. I swear! You can also earn as you play, the powercard way. Become a member to enjoy great benefits of Timezone rewards.

Fifth Floor

What do you call a mall without cinemas? It would be a disappointment. Good thing the whole fifth floor of AyalaMalls Central Bloc boasts top-notch facilities and movie theaters equipped with Dolby Atmos surround sound for the best entertainment quality you could possibly experienced.

There are four cinemas at AyalaMalls Central Bloc. Cinema 1 is a premium one, while 2-4 are regular movie theaters. You can also grab some yummy popcorn and drinks from Taters just before the entrance to the cinemas.

Media got to experienced first hand Cinema 1, the premium cinema of AyalaMalls Central Bloc. The cozy seats are lined in twos giving more space (perfect for couples) and each seat is pre-installed with USB port for charging devices. That spells WOW!

And did I mention that Cinema 1 offers a comfy leather recliner seats with tables where you can put your snacks or personal belongings? With Php 350 pesos, Cinema 1 will definitely take your film watching experience to the next level!

Exciting events await this December as AyalaMalls Central Bloc opens on December 6. Here are some of the exciting events coming your way this merry month.

Come over and jam to a free admission concert with Cebuano rock band, Urbandub, performing live at 9PM in the Activity Center for shoppers to enjoy on opening day, December 6.

Enjoy a weekend of visual art and good homegrown music at Spotlight: Arts & Music Festival on December 7 to 8 at the Activity Center. Get your game on and catch the Mobile Legends Tournament on December 10 to 11 at the Activity Center. This event is free for all and is made possible with Globe.
Witness tunes from indie pop band, Ben&Ben. Enjoy their music as they’re performing live on December 15, 7PM at the Activity Center. Avail of an entry pass when you present a P500 single receipt from any of the mall’s cinema & non-food outlets to the concierge in order to get a concert

A back-to-back hobbyist weekend is coming your way on December 21 to 22 with the Roll.Explore.Crit. Convention (RECCON) and the Toys and Figures Convention (TOFICON) happening in the Activity Center.
